Are Increased Thirst, Frequent Urination And Tingly Hands Suggestive Of Diabetes?
Based on my symptoms, I believe that I my Have Diabetes, Type 2. Over the past two months, I have been increasingly thirsty, also my mouth is dry all the time. And I have to urinate often. I just noticed that my gums are a bright pink, and my hands are tingly and feel a little numb. What should I do my next appointment with my Doc is not until the 18th.
Increased thirst and dry mouth are suggestive of diabetes. The tingling in your extremities may be peripheral neuropathy from diabetes, but does not occur until several years after the diagnosis. I am glad you have an appointment to see a physician. In the meantime, you should eat a balanced diet with 6 to 7 servings of fruits and vegetables daily and cut down on sodas and sugary liquids. Also should cut down on intake of foods that turn into sugar such as bread, pasta, and rice. Good luck.
