Are Intake Of Augpen 625 And Mucolite Safe For A Pregnant Woman?
Hi Doc, I was having cold and severe pain on the left side of my face. I am 13 weeks pregnant and my gynaec refered me to an ENT. She said that I am having acute sinusitis and infection and prescribed me Augpen 625 twice daily for 5 days and mucolite. Could you please advise if these drugs are safe for me and my baby as I am 13 weeks pregnant. Thank you in advance.

I understood your concern about the condition. Augpen is actually a combination of Amoxicillin and Clavulanate. It is under pregnancy category B and is safe during Pregnancy.
Also there are no absolute contraindications for mucolite(ambroxol), but avoid its use during first trimester.
Since you are 13 weeks pregnant, its early second trimester.
