Thank you for your query.

If your cycles are regular, had intercourse around or on the day of ovulation and your period is late by more than a week, there is a good chance that you could be pregnant.

Taking a home pregnancy test will help you confirm it. If it turns out negative, there may be some hormonal imbalance that could be delaying your period.

Occasionally, there may occur functional ovarian cysts that throw the hormones off their usual course and could delay your period or cause heavy bleeding. These may be anovulatory cycles (where no eggs are realeased). This is normal during the child bearing age and the frequency tends to increase with advancing age. You may experience heat intolerance as well.

These cysts usually go away on their own in 2or 3 cycles. If it doesn't go away, or becomes too big and causes discomfort, it may need to be removed surgically. Certain complex cysts (those that are not functional) may need to be removed anyway (even if it's small).

To answer your question, vaginal spotting and clear discharge are not conclusive of pregnancy. It may or may not occur.
A POSITIVE home pregnancy test, supported by the detection of a heart beat by ultrasound and adequately rising beta hcg is clear indication of a healthy pregnancy.

I recommend you wait until your period is two weeks late. If so, do a home pregnancy test. If that's positive, I believe Congratulations are in order.
If it's negative or you have these irregularities for more than 3 months, please see your OBGYN for a scan and examinatiin to rule out cysts. Thyroid hormone imbalances can also cause irregular periods (a blood test will show you imbalances)

With a simple cyst you may be given medications to reduce its size and regulate your period. Consider all your options before making a decision.

Hope I've helped. Please get back to us if you have any questions.
Wish you good health
