Are Irregular Bleeding And Increased Appetite Side Effects Of Implanon?

I am currently on implanon, birth control. I have had it for roughly 2 months, I have been bleeding for a month. It was light brown at first, then turned red, (about a week) and the other 3 weeks it has been dark brown almost black with brown/black blood clots. I have noticed my appetite increasing. And my belly looks rounder than usua . I do not want to be pregnant. But should I go buy a test?!

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are wondering if irregular bleeding and increased appetite are side effects of Implanon . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query . but in your case the symptoms are probably occurring due to implanon as its side effects . I would suggest you to consult your gynecologist for proper examination . Doctor may alter the dose or prescribe substitute . For now eat healthy like fresh fruits and vegetables and take proper rest along with that drink plenty of water .
