Are Irregular Contractions With Slight Fever In 37th Week Of Pregnancy A Cause For Concern?

I am 37 weeks pregnant and have been having irregular contractions all afternoon/evening along with a slight fever (101.2 F) that hasn t improved with tylenol. Is this something I need to head into labor and delivery to get checked or can it wait until my scheduled doctors appointment on Friday afternoon?

HI

Thanks for posting your query.

Well there is no need to be worried but yes you do need to consult your doctor for fever .( no need to go to Labor room )
Fever could be due to Viral or bacterial infection. For Viral infection just Tylenol is enough as viral fevers are self limiting most of the times . But if it is a bacterial infections you do need to take Antibiotic course else it won't subside.

Don't worry about contractions its common at this time of pregnancy.

Hope this information was useful to you.
Any clarifications feel free to ask .
