Hi,

Welcome to HCM.

HIV infection is usually not diagnosed based on symptoms, as there are many HIV positive individuals with no symptoms at all. The best way to diagnose HIV infection is by testing blood sample for HIV p24 antigen or antibodies against HIV.
The best time to detect HIV antibodies is usually at 12 weeks after exposure. If it has been three years since exposure and if you are infected with HIV, you should definitely get a positive result for HIV antibodies.
If you have got a negative result, most probably you are not infected. I suggest you undergo ELISA test for HIV 1 and 2 antibodies to confirm your HIV status.
It would be better if you approach an authentic lab for the test.
You need to get yourself examined in detail to rule out other causes of your symptoms.
Thanks.
