Are Long And Heavy Periods Normal After Tubal Ligation?

i am a 33 year old woman who had last delievry in 2003 , got a tubal ligation in 2004 . since then my mestrual periods have been lasting 10 - 12 days really heavy bleeding & menstrual cramps that make it hard for me to even move or walk the first few days . is this normal ?
