Are Lower Abdominal Cramps, Sweating And Diarrhea Suggestive Of Food Poisoning?
Yesterday, about 5:00 p.m., I began to cramp horribly, lower abdomen, and barely made it to the restroom. Never threw up. Intense pain, sweating and diarrhea. No fever but made several trips to bathroom. Took Advil p.m. and slept well. Woke this morning and had to go to restroom again. Noticed quite a bit of bright red blood in toilet and wipes. I m feeling fine now. Concerned mostly about bleeding. I ve been eating low fat since January. I had pizza at work yesterday. Food poisoning?

Hello. This could have been just a stomach virus, but any time there's blood in the stool, that requires evaluation. It may just be a hemorrhoid problem, but it could be from colon polyps or inflammatory bowel disorders like ulcerative colitis. See a doctor about this right away please
