Are Lower Back Cramps, Dizziness And Fatigue Early Signs Of Pregnancy?

I am tryin to get pregnant. My ovulation day was October 3 and my period should come on the 17th. I've had some lower back cramps, dizziness and fatigue. Today when I went to the bathroom there was a little old looking blood on the toilet paper. Could I be pregnant? An if so is it too soon to take a test?

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
If you had unprotected intercourse around the time of ovulation, there is possibility of pregnancy.
Intermenstrual spotting can be seen due to many causes like :
- Hormonal imbalance
- Post ovulation bleeding
-Implantation bleeding
-Early onset of menstrual flow etc.
So, better to wait till your expected date of periods.
If you do not get periods on that day, you can go for blood test for pregnancy.
If you want to go for urine test for pregnancy better to do 4 to 5 days after missed period to get accurate result.
If test comes positive, go for ultrasound after 5 completed weeks to confirm the pregnancy and to estimate the gestational age.
Start taking folic acid supplementation from nowonwards.
