Are Lumps On Head Post An Injury A Cause Of Concern?

I fell over and hit my head on the side of the pavement 2 weeks ago. At the time I had had a few drinks and do not have any memory for about 8 hours after. I felt very ill the next day and sick and dizzy. I still have a hard pea size lump there although it is not bruised now I did have a black eye. I also cannot open my jaw very wide as it hurts on that side. Is this to be of concern or will it go down?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
A head injury should always be followed by CT scan of head.
Some head injuries produce symptoms immediately, however, there are some which do not produce symptom immediately but lead to altered sensorium after some time or some days.
Bruises on the body will clear away after some time.
However, you need to get the lump examined by your doctor.
Besides, clinical assessment CT scan of the head is also suggested to look for any abnormality in the vascular structures of the brain.
In case any abnormality is found, appropriate measures can be taken.

Thanks and take care
