Are Menstrual Cramps And Prolonged Bleeding Normal After Child Birth?

I gave birth to my daughter almost 4 weeks ago and have started the past couple of days with uncomfortable and moderately painful menstrual like pains. I am soley breast feeding and my bleeding came to a complete stop almost 2 weeks ago, only to have returned lightly what could this be? Should I be worried?

OBGYN 's  Response
It can happen some time that the periods are heavy and painful after childbirth. This could be your first normal menstrual cycle after delivery since it is 4 weeks after. you should wait and see, if bleeding does not stop with in a week , you visit your gynecologist.
