Are Muscle Spasms In The Chest Due To A Torn Muscle?

I vomited and my chest and back was hurting and it was hard to breathe the next day. Then I went to the doctor and they said it was from vomit getting in the lungs. But yesterday I have been really weak all over, tired, having muscle spasms. Could I have torn a muscle in my chest?

Hello welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.

Vomiting can lead fluid and electrolyte loss and so muscle cramp can occur because of that. Maintain hydration with lots of water and ORS can be taken to replenish lost electrolyte. Muscle statin also can lead pain for which non steroid antinflammatory drug can be prescribed. Avoid strenous activities.chest x ray also advisable in your case. I suggest you to consult pulmonologist for examination and further management.

Hope I have answered your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
