Are My Symptoms Connected With Diabetes Or Kidney Disease?

I m concerned about either diabetes or kidney disease... my symptoms are: frequent urination, excessive thirst, itchy skin, more frequent urination lying down and after taking Tylenol, mild achiness in the kidney area, fatigue, nausea, loss of appetite... family and friends are concerned that its diabetes or kidney disease... also, back in 2002 I was admitted to hospital and was told that I was 24 hours away from renal failure.

Hello,

First of all, the earlier symptoms of the heart disease can give the same clinical picture, so you should do some investigations such as: measuring blood pressure and if it were high you should do an ECG and an ECHO on your heart.

Second, you should do kidney function tests and measure fasting blood glucose.

The prolonged use of paracetamol can affect the liver function, so you should do liver function tests as well. The healthy diet is crucial for you, you should decrease salt and fat intake.
