Are Nausea And Abdominal Pain Symptoms Of Appendicitis?
i am a 14 year old girl, and after i eat something- like a toasted sandwhich i get severe stomach cramps near my bellybutton and all around mmy stomach aswell. the pain from my stomach makes my lower back hurt too,it gets so severe that i cant stop crying, and that i sometimes wake up in the middle of the night. i feel nausea aswell. i cant throw up, i dont have diahrreah but im a little bit constipated at times too. the pain goes away after hours, but returns when i eat something. is this appendicitis?
Thank you for your question. Typically appendicitis is more of a short-term illness that does not go away and return. Chronic (ongoing) constipation can cause symptoms like you describe. Another possibility would include a food sensitivity (like gluten intolerance). Try keeping a food diary of what you eat and when your symptoms occur. Take this to your doctor; this will allow them to see any correlation and suggest further tests or treatments.
Hi. The symptoms are more suggestive of Irritable Bowel SyndromeIBS, the pain going into the low back is suggestive of this . This is a constipating form of IBS. You have to stop all the foods and beverages which enhance your problem. Ask our parents to take you to the Gastroenterologist so that further investigations can be due including Colonoscopy , CT scan of the abdomen to further clarify the diagnosis. A perfect diagnosis is important for the proper treatment
