Are Nausea And Fatigue Related To Adrenal Insufficiency?

I have almost fainting episodes, with weakness, nausea, increased urination and thirst, fatigue, lethargy, memory loss, confusion and disorientation, low blood pressure, low blood sugar, a history of thyroid disease, and blurry vision. I have had numerous episodes over the last 3 months, and in the ER three times in the past week and a half, plus hospitalized for weakness this weekend. I am waiting on a referral to an endocrinologist. In your experience, does this sound like a Pituitary tumor or adrenal insufficiency? I am waiting on results of blood tests done- cortisol and ACTH. Thank you

Hi there,
welcome to healthcare magic.
I have read your post thoroughly and from what I understand you have various symptoms, some of which are suggestive of adrenal insufficiency like you have been guessing.Specially, if you have a history of being on steroids recently.
However, you have numerous other symptoms which are not consistent with adrenal insufficiency but point to other conditions like a pituitary adenoma like you suggested. Thirst, frequent urination, visual blurring, confusion etc along with the symptoms of adrenal insufficiency are some of the symptoms associated with pituitary adenoma or an insult to the pituitary adenoma like haemorrhage. The adenoma can grow and affect production of all pituitary hormones. An MRI of the brain can easily pick up any such tumor and it will help reach a definitive diagnosis.
Hope this helps.
