Are Negative HIV-1 RNA Quantitative PCR Test Reports On The 45th Day After Exposure Conclusive?
hii i have tested for hiv 1 rt rna pcr quantitative on 45th day after exposure and its result is test not detected..and then on 69th day i hv tested for hiv rna pcr qualitative and its result is not detected 1. does these 2 pcr tests are considered conclusive 2.and how accurate is rt pcr quantitave nd qualitative tests.. and on 84th day i tested for 1.tpha syphilis result is 0.83 and less than 1 considered negative..then 0.83 is near to it ..so what the result actually implies 2.on 84th day anti chlamdiya antibody test..result is 0.9 equivolent..what does it implies..its postive or negative..should i go for treatment 3.on 84th day herpese simplex virus 2 igg and igm both came as 0.29 and below 0.9 is considered negative should these all tests are conclusive at 84th day or should i retest and i test for any other stds..i have red rash on penis glan..and burnong sensation while urinating and little abdnomial pain comes and goes..does i test for hepatatis b and c..please give detailed answer doctor..i m dying of tensions regarding this
Hi, Welcome to HCM. Non detectable HIVRNA qualitative and quantitative test 45 days after the exposure clearly ruled out the possibility of HIV 1 infection. HIV 2 infection is very rare (Prevalence is less than 0.5%), but you need a separate PCR test for HIV 2 to rule out that also. You are free from Syphilis, Chlamydia and HSV infections and it is conclusive. Dr S. Murugan.
