Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Multiple sclerosis is central nervous system disease characterized by in which the immune system eats away at the protective covering of nerves. In multiple sclerosis involving mainly central nervous system and peripheral nerve involvement is very less but few studies have shown it may affect peripheral nerves also. Other possibilities like diabetes, CIDP, Vitamin B12 deficiency, CKD with uremic neuropathy, etc. Please consult your neurophysician he will examine and do nerve conduction studies then treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
