Are Night Tremors And Vomiting In A Child A Part Of Acid Reflux?

Hi. My daughter is 7 and has acid reflux and takes Prilosec everyday for it and she also has ADHD that she takes vyvanse for everyday. She goes to bed every night at 8pm and is awake at 7am. Atleast 4-5 nights a week she wakes up with night terrors and then vomits during or after it. Is this part of acid reflux? Can something else be going on? What can I do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

We will try to help you in the best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what your daughter had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, it can be due to stomach issues as you said but can be due to drug-induced.

Using antiemetics or Motility agents like domperidone can be helpful. Antacids like famotidine may also be needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
