Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Iv been on the nexplanon for about 6 months and it moved and is now In my muscle, I m scheduled to have it removed with surgery and I m curious about any complications, the past few weeks it has been feeling achy and hurting and I got a super bad nose bleed today that was the worst iv had in my life, could this be related any how? Iv had 3 doctors try and take it out and now my arm is covered in holes from where they failed to remove it and now I have to go under for them to cut the entire thing out of my arm is there any way I can sue the original doctor for putting it in wrong? She said she was sleep deprived when she tried to take it out again (dosent sound professional to me) it s been a very annoying expirence for me to deal with.
I don't know about suing as it is not a comfortable topic of discussion and is unpleasant for both you annd the doctor who inserted it. It can happen at times, and being a doctor myself we have to work for 2-3 days straight at times, all for the good of the people. Imagine having to be at work for 2-3 days straight with no sleep and hardly any food? Would that be pleasant for you?
Give the doctor a break. Going under the knife for a simple nexplanon removal wouldn't be too bad, it will be a minor procedure.
As for the nose bleeds, a common side effect of nexplanon is bleeding occuring that is not related to the menstrual bleed and a nose bleed falls under the same category.
Best wishes.
