I have had numbness in my right quadriceps area for almost two years. I was told it was Meralgia paraesthetica. Recently, for the last two weeks, I have had pain (5) (like a sprained or pulled muscle) in my right shoulder blade area (I have had partial separations in both shoulders for over 30 years and they ve never bothered me before) about two inches down and maybe a quarter inch or so from my thoracic vertebrae area. General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is unlikely to be due to arthritis.

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
