Are Painful And Inflamed Lumps Near The Groin, A Sign Of Infection?

I have s very painful swollen area between the crease of my leg and my groin. It is very inflamed and has an odor if compressed. I soaked tonight in an epson salt bath and it appears to have an eye shaped spot in the middle of this lump. I squeezed and an awful, bloody puss came out in a lumpy oozing fashion. The odor was deathly which worries me. I have Crohns and haven t felt well lately and sssumed it was a hernia, but now I m thinking it s an infection causing swelling lymph nodes. I ve talked to several of my drs and they say that I need to see my OB first in which I have an appt in two days. What are your thoughts?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
By your description of swelling and pus coming out while squeezing, possibility of infected enlarged inguinal lymphnodes is more likely.
Most common cause for inguinal lymphnode enlargement is Pelvic infection.
So consult gynecologist and get done clinical examination of vagina and ultrasound examination of uterus and ovaries to find out the source of infection.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
I find this answer helpful
