Are Palpitations And Chest Pain Dangerous When Diagnoised With Mitral Valve Prolapse?

Hello , my daughter is 15 years old , when she was 4 she was diagnoased with mitral valve prolapse ... So 5 days ago she started complaining about neck pain and her ears got blocked , now its a little bit better , but she is complaining now about chest pain and how very little activity gets her heart beating so fast or racing . She got her period yesterday , Today she told me that she has a dark stoll but she only realized the matter with the dark stool once.... Should i be worried ?? should we go see a doctor ?? or could all that be from her period?? I hope i get an answer from u soon...Thanks in advance :)

Cardiologist 's  Response
Dear Mrs,

Most probably her complaints are not related to mitral vale prolapse. If she had neck pain and blocked ears, then it is possible, that there was a little infection, which could cause also chest pains and heartbeats. And the situation got worse with her period. Don't worry, nothing dangerous.
But do have her annual check-ups for mitral valve prolapse.

Hope this was helpful

Cardiac Surgeon Dr. Azam Jan's  Response
It doesn't look like that her symptoms are related to mitral valve prolapse.Loks like two many things are happening at the same time.let her recover from her ear problem and let her periods finish and see how things progress.
