General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The decreased function of the heart would cause a back of fluids in the legs, the abdomen and also the lungs.

At a function of 20 to 25%, she would likely be classified with severe heart failure or NYHA stage 4. This is associated with mortality of 50%, meaning one out of two persons at this stage do not survive for a long period of time.

The exact time varies and cannot be accurately predicted by in many may be less than 1 to 2 years.

I hope this helps and wish you and your family the best
