Are Pressure In Face And Throbbing Tooth Pain Signs Of Heart Attack?

I have had a permanent bridge for over 20 years now it feels loose. I went to the dentist she took an X-ray and told me I have bone loss. Well now and I am a smoker I have pressure in my face and throbbing in my upper and lower teeth and a lot of saliva where I have to spit. I think it may be my sinuses. But, I am afraid its a sign of a heart attack.

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of pressure in face and throbbing tooth pain which does not seems to be related to heart attack if donot have any other symptoms along with it. it seems to be due to pressure on nerve and poor oral hygiene and severe bone loss which is leading to exposure of nerve roots and causing these symptoms.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit dentist once and get complete examination done and visit periodontist/endodontist once and start treatment accordingly. You should go for complete cleaning of oral cavity and then go for minor periodontal gum surgery or ECR. Avoid intake of excessive cold and hot liquids. Take Ibuprofen if pain is severe.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
