General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Uncontrollable thoughts that race in the mind are commonly due to developing Bipolar disorder, ADHD or Caffeine intoxication. Avoid caffeine intake & cut on addictions if any.

I suggest you get physically examined by a GP TO RULE OUT ADHD, Obsessive-compulsive disorders, dementia, etc). On the borderline of old age developing bipolar disorder (mood swings) can trigger dementia(cognitive symptoms, agitation, psychotic behavior).

Get CT & MRI done. Your treatment will depend upon the pathology detected.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
