Are Recurring Lightheadedness Post An Injury Suggestive Of Mild Concussion?

recently I was in an auto accident At the time I felt ok although the car hydroplaned an has been totaled. However, at the time although I felt ok I did feel a bit lightheaded. I didn t pursue any medical treatment, but now am wondering if I might have a mild concussion. I tend to feel light headed from time to time. Example = I climbed staircase in my home and then felt suddenly light headed. It has been almost 2 weeks since the accident. Could this be a mild concussion?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a concussion. Consult a neurosurgeon and plan for an MRI scan for further assessment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
