Are Recurring Outbreak Of Hives On Body Suggestive Of Hormonal Problems?

Hello - I am a 33 year old woman and for the past month, I have had hives break out all over my body. The itching was so bad, that it felt as if it was burning. I went to two dermatologists, my physician and an allergist, and all were confused. I used two types of steroid creams and predicone (sorry about the misspelling), along with combined doses of zrytec, allegra and zantac, and those did not work either. I took a blood test and everything was normal. Finally, my dermatologist gave me a shot and is making me use corman lotion, which is helping and now the hives are gone. However, my period is now 5 days late and I have never been late. I m not really sure what is going on, but the more research I do, the more I think that this could be a hormone problem....

Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to an allergic reaction. I see that you have already used the correct treatment to treat the hives. I would recommend some examinations for further evaluation. I recommend a IG E blood level and allergy tests.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
