Are Recurring Panic Attacks, Anxiety And Nightmares Suggestive Of Depression?

Hi. I have had issues with panic attacks, anxiety, and nightmares for 3 years now. I ve taken some online tests (which I know can be inaccurate) and it said I might have issues with depression. I used to self harm but I haven t for a year. I want help but my dad isn t accepting at all. I tried to tell them when it first started and they thought I was doing it for attention. I don t know what to do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you may need to seek help to a psychologist to talk to him. If psychotherapy doesn't help you can seek a psychiatrist. Probably you don't need medications since now. Tell me if you are using any drugs.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
