Are Red Marks On Skin Post Exfoliation A Cause For Concern?

I used a pumice on my arms last night to exfoliate the skin and too much pressure caused red tiny marks (blood to the surface) I am 60 yrs old with thin skin and don t know what I was thinking. Question will this go away within a couple days and skin look normal again?

Hi! Welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, local errythema or redness may be caused temporarily which resolves in few days however if persist, blood counts to confirm platelets count and blood clotting profile may be needed if red spots increase in number. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Regards
