Are Redness On Face And Headache The Side Effects Of Acetaminophen?
HI I had my wisdom tooth pulled today. Number 32. I was prescribed Acetaminophen- Cod #3 I am experiencing redness to my face. I do not have any shortness of breath. However I do have Asthma. I also take xanax but haven t taken any today. I have no other issues but a slight headache. should I be alarmed?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain redness on face can be a side effect of the local anaesthesia while can also be due to side effect of the medication that you are taking to relieve pain.. Headache can be radiating pain from the extraction site..
I would suggest you to continue taking the medication but in case if the symptoms exaggerate you need to consult your dentist and get evaluated and he can change your medication to prevent the allergic symptoms..
As of now continue taking the medication and drink plenty of water.. Do cool compresses over the face..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
