Are Repeated Blood Tests And CT Scan Enough To Monitor Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma?

My mother was diagnosed with stage 4 ventricular non hodgkins lymphoma. The tumors are very small. The dr says they don't need to do any treatment at this point. They will check blood work every 3 months and CT every 6 months. She is 69 years old, wt 130 and about 5'4". Is this a normal procedure for this? Is she being monitored enough?
