Are Seizures Associated With Pain In Hand With Bulging Veins?

Hello. I had an interesting episode last night. It started with a stabbing pain in my left hand. The veins in my hand bulged immensely then I passed out, the Doctors believe it was a seizure from the eyewitness account of my husband. How can these two things be related?
