Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I received a call from my son today stating my 28 yr old grandson had a ct scan showing an arachnoid cyst located in the frontal lobe. Matthew has had two seizures now and last night had trouble walking. He lives alone in his condo and, of course, I am extremely worried. He will now be seeing a neurologist. Will he be hospitalized immediately for a diagnosis? Thank you.
The cyst contains fluid, most of them are not dangerous, but cyst ruptures it is problem. Better consult Neurologist regarding size and which area it is present. If it is big surgically approach.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr C.ELANCHEZHIAN, General & Family Physician
