Are Severe Pain And Blisters In The Scapula Symptoms Of Shingles?
I turned from my side and got up out of bed during night. I immediately had a stabbin, burning very strong pain close curve in scapula. After excruciating pain was relieved, the area felt numb and very red. Took picture later and their is one small blister on edge of lower scapula. I m having second surgery in two weeks to replace 4c disc, relieve 5c pinched nerves and making openings bigger from spine at 6c. But, could experience I had today be beginning of shingles? Thank you, Pat James
Burning pain, redness, and blisters are typical symptoms and findings in the case of shingles, so very likely you are having shingles. This is the case, especially if the symptoms are only on one side and do not cross the midline.
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
