Are Short-lived Pains Radiating Down From The Heart Normal For A Myocarditis Patient?

My 33 year old son was diagnosed with myocarditis and released from the hospital about 36 hours ago. He is having sharp pains about every 30 minutes that radiate down from his heart. They are extremely short in duration. Should he go back to the hospital or is this considered normal?

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
