Are Slight Pain In The Fingers And Chills Normal While On Antibiotics?
my doctor prescribed amoxicillin 500 mg for an oral infection he discovered during a tooth extraction. I have taken the drug for 4days now. I am not sleeping as normal ,just experienced a a slight pain in my left hand (fingers) and chills. Is this normal
As per your complain chills and irritability can be side effects of antibiotics, however can be a temporary finding as when you will stop taking the antibiotic the symptoms will improve..
However pain in fingers is not certainly appearing due to medication..
In case if there is oral infection and you need to take antibiotic for a longer period of time, therefore you can consult your dentist again and get evaluated so that he can change your antibiotic so that you do not suffer side effects..
If the symptoms are severe ad causing considerable discomfort you can stop taking antibiotic and consult your dentist soon..
Hope this helps.
