Are Sore Abrasions On Side Of Penis Shaft Due To STD?
Had unprotected sex, then masturbated for a couple of days afterwards. Sore abrasions on side of penis shaft. STD?? Hi, I m concerned. I had unprotected sex, but later that night I checked and there was nothing there on any part of my penis. I masturbated for a few days afterwards with lotion and then on Friday I noticed a small area on the left side of the shaft of my penis. I ve been treating it a bit with some neosporin, two times a day. It had left some slight abrasions in its place. The wound feels kind of warm, and is tender on the area. I have not had any discharge from my penis and neither have I had my penis burn from urination at all between the unprotected sex and now. I am concerned to having and helping it to heal. I have ceased masturbation since the Thursday before now. I would really like some help.
Hi, Welcome to HCM. Abrasions can occur during forcible sex or masturbation (without adequate lubrication). It would be a tear or superficial skin denudation or peeling. If it is a STD it could either be a blister or an ulcer. If you could upload the picture I can tell more about the condition. It is better to consult a physician and get examined and investigated with blood test would help to arrive at a diagnosis. On that basis treatment has to be planned. Get well soon. Dr S.Murugan
