Dear Nicola,
Yes, the symptoms you have described do fit into the symptoms of early
pregnancy. However, the first cardinal symptom to appear is missing a period about which there is no mention in your history. All other symptoms mentioned bellow appear about 8-15 days of missed period. They are:
*
Nausea and
vomiting with pica
* Frequent urination
* Breast symptoms : Engorgement & tenderness, dark discolouration of nipples &
areola with widening of areola, appearance of Montgomery's tubercles under areola and secretions from the nipples.
Please ensure whether you have missed your period. If so, still the pregnancy is never diagnosed only on the symptoms. It has to be confirmed. You can confirm it by pregnancy test 8 days after missed period on overnight early morning first urine sample. Done earlier, these test may give false negative results. Else, you can opt for
Beta hCG test which is very sensitive and gives reliable results even few days before missing a period.
One more advice regarding your attempts to conceive. You have been trying for three weeks. Please understand the physiology of conception. Egg is released only once per cycle and that is on day 14 prior to next expected menses. Egg has life of 24 hours while the sperms are active for 72 hours. Hence a period of about 8-10 days around the day of egg release is fertile period. So intercourse during this period only will increase the chances of conception, rest of the days, intercourse is only for recreation.
I hope this will help you to confirm the diagnosis of pregnancy; and if you are not pregnant, it will help you to conceive in next cycle(s).
