Are Soya Substitutes Along With Levothyroxine Advisable?

hmm.. well just simply researching if soy milks etc are bad to take with levothyroxine (150 mcg - 37 f with graves and TT about 2 yrs ago...also allergic to milk lol) I do noot have an endocrinologist, just the ear/nose/throat doc who said I did not have to avoid any foods but my general doc told me today that I should avoid these. who to believe

Soy milk contains calcium that decreases the absorption of levothyroxine and hence decrease its level in blood and it's efficacy. Hence it should be taken atleast four hours apart to avoid this.
