Are Sporadic Headaches And Exhaustion Due To Birth Control Patch?
I have had a headache off and on for a week now, extreme exhaustion, now adding nausea. I am on the patch for BC and got put on this because I was having break through bleeding with the pill. Last week I had the same issue with my patch for about 7 days. Could I be having a bad reaction to my birth control?
A sporadic headache is most likely to be the side effect of the combined hormonal contraceptive. This is especially common in women with history of migraines.
Please be advised to discuss with your doctor to switch to another form of contraceptive like progesterone only pill, Intra-uterine device etc., which have less pronounced systemic effects.
