I had my period last week and for the first 3 days it is quite heavy but than it lingers off to almost nothing. This time the lingering has lasted for 11 days. Only when I wipe after I urinate. My lower back is out and I am leaning to the left because I can t stand straight. Are these two seperate issues or are they related to the same issue? I had x-rays 2 weeks ago about my back and the doctor said I have arthritis
Hello, Thanks for letting us know your health concern. Your symptoms are mostly unrelated to each other. The prolonged menstruation is suggestive of hormone imbalance leading to improper endometrial shedding. A hormone profile and a sonogram of the pelvis preferably in the trans-vaginal route are needed to plan further management. The pain in the back is mostly due to the arthritis which needs appropriate management. Hope this helps.
