Are Spotting And Cramps Side Effects Of Adderral?

I was given adderral (Rx from psychiatrist) this week on Tuesday. I began taking it on Wednesday. My period (which is extremely predictable) was supposed to start Friday but I ve only had spotting and cramps. Pregnancy test was negative and the likelihood of being pregnant is very slim. Could it be the Adderral?

Hello,

Adderall is not known to affect the menstrual periods so it is very unlikely that your menstrual bleeding changes are related to it.

I would recommend you to repeat the urinary pregnancy test in a few days. If you still have a negative urine pregnancy test then it is unlikely you are pregnant and your periods should come within the next 2-3 weeks. It happens sometimes due to stress that the periods may be later than usual.

If your periods do not come in the next 2-3 weeks please see your doctor.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
