Are Swelling And Discoloration In The Vagina Normal After A Laparoscopic Hysterectomy?

I had a lapro-scopic hysterectomy on 6/7/18; and on Saturday started noticing that the right side of my vagina (labia) was swelling and turning black. I went to the ER on Sunday and they acted like it was no big deal and told me to come back if I can no longer urinate. But it is about 3 times the regular size and is black from the top of my labia to an inch from my butt hole. Is this normal
