Are Swelling And Painful Bruise At The Site Of Nail Injury A Cause For Concern?

i was trying to step over the rail of a bed but didn t lift my foot high enough instead i almost fell forward hitting my left shin on rail; the pain was very intense......it will be 2 weeks this coming Friday since the accident. I went to urgent care a week ago and was diagnosed a bad contusion and was told to ice it. Because of the severe pain it s hard to put ice directly on the area The pain is still there, my foot and ankle is very swollen and painful to touch and the affected area burns.......should I go to the Emergency Room?
