Are Swelling And Pressure In The Eye Suggestive Of Fluid Build Up?

I have one eye that is swollen above the lid, in the crease between lid and brow, extending from bridge of nose outward toward ear. NOT red, itchy or painful. Just swollen and for over a week now. No crusty eye in the morning. I feel a bit of pressure and think maybe it s just fluid? I had a kidney infection a few weeks back. Was just a UTI, but I took wrong meds (was prescribed 3 because was in ER for UTI pain but found out I had a kidney stone passing as well), thought I took Antibiotics, but didn t. So, about 2 weeks later, took the antibiotics to clear what I think turned into a kidney infection as I was very sick. Had fever, chills, body aches and fatigue.....UTI still there. Slept alot....anyway, could this be a side effect of the infection? Maybe a toxin build up? It is worse in the am but never goes away and it is worse in the corner of eye by nose. I want it GONE.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It can be chalazion that occurs usually due to accumulation of mebomian secretions of the eye lid. Simple OP procedure will drain out the fluid. Visit an ophthalmologist for accurate diagnosis and evaluation of your condition.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohd Awais Ilyas
