Are Symptoms Of Digoxin Withdrawal Temporary?
I was on dioxin for 11 years for tachycardia and irregular heartbeat and also had a couple incidents of afib. I took .25 MG in the morning and one fourth of a 25 MG pill of atenolol at bedtime. Felt great for years and now doctor took me off digoxin. I take one fourth of the atenolol pill at bedtime still and now one fourth in the morning. I don t really feel myself anymore. I feel an anxiety type of feeling in my chest often or sort of weakness like it s going to stop or something. It s hard to explain. My question is this...is this just a temporary side effect of going off digoxin since my body was so used to it? I stopped it on May 21st. Is the atenolol going to be enough for me?

The only "withdrawal" consequence with digoxin would be a return to the rapid heart rate of afib. Your symptoms may be from lowering the atenolol dosage but that should resolve soon.
