Are The Regestrone Tablets Safe?

Hello doctor its been 1 and a half month me getting Marie and I missed my periods for almost 20 days and so used to take a hpt at ho e which I noticed was negative for 4 times and so was asked to take a urine and hcg blood test which was also .i am prescribed to take regesterone 5mg for 3 days can I ????iis it really safe and will I be pregnant if I consume it???

Hi,

I have gone through your query. Regesterone is a progesterone only hormonal drug. It has various uses. It can be used for inducing period or delaying it. If you start taking it before 3 days of expected period you can delay it till the date you are taking it. You are more likely to get a period within 3 days after stopping this drug. You won't get pregnant while taking it. But not 100 percentage safe. Hence, it is better to use barrier methods like condom.
