Are There Alternatives To Pinning A Medial Phalanx Fracture That Don’t Require General Anesthesia Or Hardware Placement?

I recently injured my right ring finger at work & have sustained injury to the medial phalanx. I have already undergone stitching but now the doctors are wanting to pin the bone to immobilize it. I understand why but I m seeking alternatives to pinning because I do not want general anesthesia or pins for that matter.
