Are There Any Chance Of Being Pregnant While On Duphaston?

good day Dr. i had very regular cycle (29 days cycle) ,my last period was on 10th may,2014, did pregnancy test and came up as negative on day 12 missed period.went and see o&g dr on monday (24/06/14),did ultra scan and told nothing and he did virginal scan and he saw something but he told he wont confirm if it is pregnacy or not and gave me duphaston for 10 days and ask me to take a pregnancy test around 4/7/2014 if no period come by then. is there still any chance of being pregnant.thank you dr.

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Yes, there still exists a chance of being pregnant. Your doctor most probably has suspected a possible miscarriage or threatened abortion and so it is best you continue with the duphaston. This is not to help you get pregnant right now, but to help sustain or support your pregnancy (if at all you are pregnant). So please continue this religiously. And yes of course it is possible to get pregnant while on the duphaston.
