I have been taking BIOTENE for about three years . Supposed to help my hair I'm 82 yrs old hair was falling out real bad



Is there any side effects from taking BIOTENE ? Been taking it for three years supposed to help my hair I'm 82years take1000mcg a day

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

Biotin is a water soluble vitamin & is used in thinning of hair, loss of hair etc. It is excreted in urine by kidneys. So there is no side effects of taking biotin for long term, As excess is excreted in urine.
If you have kidney disease only than high dose of biotin may cause toxicity.
